As someone who spent over 25 years in the finance world, I’ve lived that cycle. I know what it’s like to wake up already bracing for impact. The feeling is much like walking through midtown Manhattan during rush hour — honking horns, flashing screens, constant movement. In a city that never sleeps, stillness can feel almost rebellious.

Hustle Culture and Survival Mode


The finance industry thrives on results. There’s a rush that comes with hitting targets, closing deals, or getting through a packed quarter. But hustle culture — the belief that our worth equals our productivity — can easily turn toxic.


Finding an Oasis in the Concrete Jungle


In New York City, we’re surrounded by noise, ambition, and motion — the city mirrors the very pace of the finance world. But just as Central Park exists in the middle of the chaos, we each need to find our own oasis: a place, moment, or practice that allows us to breathe. Sometimes that means stepping away from the screens, taking a quiet walk, or simply pausing long enough to hear your own thoughts again. These oases aren’t luxuries; they’re survival tools in a world that glorifies overextension.

As someone who’s lived through both high-pressure finance and personal trauma, I’ve learned that the greatest strength often comes from slowing down, not speeding up.


Burnout may be common, but it doesn’t have to be permanent. You can rebuild from a place of balance, authenticity, and peace — not performance.

Hi, I’m Frank Sarrapochiello, a bilingual (English, Spanish, and Italian) Mental Health Counseling Intern in Scarsdale, NY.


I help adults — especially professionals navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, and major life transitions — reconnect with resilience and purpose. My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed, rooted in the belief that healing happens when we feel seen, safe, and understood.


I also bring a deeply personal understanding of trauma as a 9/11 survivor, which informs my compassion for others navigating their own recovery and growth.
