Peaceful Living Mental Health Counseling is currently seeking compassionate, motivated, and trauma-informed Limited Permit (LP) Therapists to join our growing team.
We offer flexible opportunities for:

Position Overview:
As a Limited Permit Therapist, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based psychotherapy under clinical supervision while working toward full licensure. This role is ideal for clinicians who are passionate about trauma-informed care and eager to grow within a supportive, collaborative practice.
Position Requirements:

Limited Permit (LP) in Mental Health Counseling (New York State) – required

Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field
-
Commitment to working toward full LMHC licensure
-
EMDR training preferred, or willingness to complete training within 6 months
-
Strong interest in trauma-informed care and nervous system-based approaches
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to work independently while receiving supervision
-
English proficiency required; bilingual candidates are a plus

Must be authorized to work in the United States
Core Responsibilities:

Build strong, trusting therapeutic relationships with clients
-
Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans

Provide individual (and when appropriate, group) therapy sessions in-person and/or hybrid

Deliver evidence-based and trauma-informed interventions (including EMDR where applicable)

Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EHR system

Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support high-quality client care

Adhere to ethical standards, confidentiality, and all regulatory requirements

Participate in supervision and ongoing professional development
