SEAN O'CONNOR, M.S., LMHC

Sean O'Connor is a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) at Peaceful Living Mental Health Counseling in Scarsdale, NY.

 

Sean specializes in sports psychology and works with athletes to overcome anger, anxiety, depression, PTSD and other mental health stressors that are impacting their athletic performance.

In addition to working with athletes, Sean is a trauma informed therapist and works on adults with issues related to trauma and anxiety as well.

​

Sean is trained in the use of EMDRMindfulness and DBT and CBT to help athletes improve their focus, concentration and performance in sports.

​

Sean is available for early mornings, afternoon and evening appointments Monday-Thursday both in-person and virtually in our Scarsdale, NY mental health counseling office.

Sean is fully licensed in New York and Florida to practice Mental Health Counseling (LMHC) with a MS degree in Mental Health Counseling from Long Island University. 

​

       

Sean has completed Levels 1 and 2 of Basic Training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).  He actively uses EMDR daily in his practice with adults. Sean also receives ongoing EMDR Consultation to make sure all clients are engaging in the safest and most effective forms of EMDR Therapy.

​Sean has completed formalized training from the Linehan Institute in the use of Dialectical Behavior Therapy. 

​
