Current Job Openings for Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC) and Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) at Peaceful Living in Scarsdale, NY
We are currently hiring for LMHC/LPCs (including limited permits) for:
- part time (8-21 clients/week)
- full time (minimum 22 clients/week or more)
These positions are available for fully remote, in person in our Scarsdale office and/or hybrid model.
Position Requirements:

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of psychotherapy experience (preferred).

Professional License Requirements: The following licenses must be current and in good-standing:

Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Limited Permit

Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

LCSWs, PsyDs, PhDs, etc. are NOT eligible for the position.

EMDR Trained & Trauma Informed: EMDR-trained candidates are preferred, but we are willing to accept those who commit to completing EMDR training within 6 months of employment.

Education: Master's degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field (required).

Language: English proficiency required; bilingual candidates are a plus.

Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Core Responsibilities:

Establish positive, trusting rapport with patients
-
Client Care: Complete comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health needs and provide tailored psychotherapy, including individual and group sessions, either via telehealth or in-person.

Create individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances
-
Meet with patients regularly to provide counseling, evidenced-based treatment, and adjust treatment plans as necessary

Conduct ongoing assessments of patient progress

Involve and advise family members when appropriate

Refer patients to outside specialists or agencies when necessary

Follow all safety protocols and maintain client confidentiality

Trauma-Informed Therapy: Utilize mindfulness and trauma-informed approaches, including EMDR, in counseling sessions to help clients achieve symptom reduction and emotional healing.

Collaboration: Work closely with and other appropriate professionals to provide integrated care that addresses the holistic needs of clients.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of sessions and client contacts in our Electronic Health Records (EHR) and practice management system.

Maintain proper licenses, certifications and follow professional guidelines, ethical standards

Contribute to practice by accomplishing related tasks as needed

Collaborate with Peaceful Living administrative staff and management to exceed best practices and grow our organization
